QUOIN Foundation Scholarship Application

(Formerly Dallas and Fort Worth AGC Education and Research Foundations)
Undergraduate Scholarship Application
— Eligibility Rules and Requirements —

A.ELIGIBILITY
1. Applicant MUST be a high school senior, two-year school first or second year student planning to transfer to four-year program for the Fall term, or a college freshman, sophomore or junior. Applicants must be graduating in December 2009 or later.
2. Applicant MUST desire a career in construction.
3. Applicant MUST pursue a BS-degree granting program in an approved construction curriculum. Student MUST be enrolled full-time; part-time students are not eligible for awards.
4. Applicant MUST be a U.S. citizen or documented permanent resident of the U.S.

C.AWARDS
1. Scholarships will be a minimum of $250 per student per year.
2. Applications will be reviewed and winners selected by the QUOIN Foundation, which will consider applicant’s interest in construction, grades, extracurricular activities, employment experience and adult evaluation.
3. All applicants selected as finalists will be subject to a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee. Finalists will be notified by telephone in late March of each year.
4. Checks will be sent to recipients college or university for disbursement.

B.REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicant is responsible for insuring that all items listed below are submitted to the QUOIN Foundation and post-marked by October 31, 2008.
a. Completed four-page, signed application.
b. One evaluation form completed by your high school guidance counselor or college faculty advisor, whichever is applicable at time of application. High School principal evaluation acceptable where counselor information is not available.
c. Official transcript of college grades (see item II.F of this application.) If you have not yet graduated High School or are a College Freshman, please provide High School transcript.
2. No reminders regarding submission of this information will be provided to applicant prior to the competition deadline.
