Federal Minimum Wage / Fair Labor Standards Act
(29 CFR 516.4 & 29 USCS § 216) – The FLSA imposes minimum wage and overtime requirements, and sets minimum standards for the employment of minors. Every covered employer must post and maintain a notice explaining the FLSA’s provisions in a conspicuous place in each establishment so as to permit employees to readily observe it.
VIOLATION PENALTY: Fines not specified.

Occupational Safety & Health Act
(29 CFR 1903.2 & 29 USCS § 666) – All covered employers are required to display and maintain notices prepared by the Department of Labor informing employees of the protection and obligations of the Occupational Safety & Health Act and its amendments.
VIOLATION PENALTY: Any employer who violates these provisions may be assessed a civil penalty of up to $7,000 for each violation.

Family and Medical Leave Act
(29 CFR 825.300) – All covered employers are required to display and maintain a poster informing employees of the substantive provisions of the FMLA.
VIOLATION PENALTY: Failure to post may result in the assessment of civil money penalties up to $100 per offense.

Employee Polygraph Protection Act
(29 CFR 806.6) – Every covered employer must post and maintain on its premises a notice explaining the prohibitions against lie detector tests in employment and other relevant provisions of the EPPA.
VIOLATION PENALTY: Violations may result in civil money penalties of up to $10,000 for each offense.

Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Notifications
EEO notifications enforce the posting requirements of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and government contractor EEO laws including Executive Order 11246, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment and Assistance Act of 1974.
VIOLATION PENALTY: Failure to post the required EEO notifications may result in fines of up to $110 for each separate offense.
